I have W2K server with two NIC's. At first is LAN and at second ISDN router. My ISDN line is going up every 5 minutes. Can somebody help me with this problem? Thanks

What do you mean when you say your ISDN line is going up every 5 minutes?

Do you mean this is set up for dial on demand, and your ISDN line is
connecting every five minutes? There are lots of things that can cause this.
To be sure what it is, you would need to monitor the LAN traffic.

Yes, this is dial on demand, and when is LAN off, server still going on the NET every 5 min. I think that the problem is somewhere in settings of DNS.

I'd start by checking to see if there is an application or service running
in the background that wants and internet connection.

OK, but there in nothing extra. Just normal services like dhcp, dns...Maybe is something wrong with DNS, but i don't now how to determine what. I try with only server and router. Everything is OK for 20-30 min, then line goes up 4 or 5 times every 5 min, then is down for 15 to 30 min and start again from begining???
