vredir & ifsmgr fatal exceptions

I have a client who I've recently networked for the first
time. All win98 PCs and a Win2000 Server. Some PCs are
getting "VxD Vredir (01) + 0000xxxx called from
0028:cxxxxxxx in VxD Ifsmgr (01) + 0000xxxx".
On support.microsoft.com it tantalizingly gives the answer
to the problem, and then directs me to a link
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;
[LN];CNTACTMS) where I have to contact Microsoft to find
the fix.
I tried the "no pay" option, but it required a Product ID
for W98. This is an OEM license and MS say to contact the
OEM. They are long defunct, and this is no longer an
option.
Does anyone know where I can still download the patches
for e.g. Q323466 & Q283261 please.
