I've setup a vpn server on my network (192.168.1.200) but didnt' realize
that somone else already done
so on another machine (192.168.1.118). I've also setup router to enable VPN
passsthrough as well as
forwarding of port 500 UDP to 192.168.1.200. After trying to connect
everything worked great except
that i connected to the 192.168.1.118 machine. Does anyone have any idea as
to why it connected to that
machine and not to the 192.168.1.200?

thank you very much

Check the router port forwarding. If you use PPTP, it may have pot 1723 point to the 192.168.1.118.

In news:JLJPf.3885$(E-Mail Removed),
asdf <(E-Mail Removed)> stated, which I commented on below:
> nope i checked that. no other entries in port forwarding

If you are connecting from the outside world to the outside IP of your NAT
device, then as Bob said, it's in the port forwarding configuration. You'll
need to double-check the configuration and that you've set it up and have
applied it correctly.
