Does anyone know what to place in the VPN server selection when trying to
set it up for virginmedia?

Your question makes no sense. What are you trying to achieve? The ISP is
irrelevant as far as VPN connections are concerned (unless they
specifically blovk ports used).

The parameters you enter into the PC are dependent on what type of VPN
server you are connecting to, eg IPSEC or L2TP etc.

Didn't ee the original to tis, but in my D-link router, 'PVC' is the
name they appply to the actual ISP link: theh 'server name' simply is a
tag if you use it to connect to more than one DLSAM. As If.

So its very unclear as to what exactly teh OP is on about..

You don't need any settings specific to VM.

Your company's IT department should be able to tell you how to configure
your PC for hte office VPN. Mine gave me a 3-page booklet that walked me
through the ports to open etc.
