VPN two existing domains

I have two existing 2003/Exchange 2003 domains. I recently configured a
router to router VPN between the two.

I'd like to have domain 2 as a sub-domain of domain 1, rather than setting
up a trust between them. My question is - Do I need to rebuild domain 2?
Or can I join it somehow?

Thanks
PM

Can not have subdomains in that instance. But you can have forest trusts if
Windows 2003.
