VPN timeout

Set up -
Cable Modem
D-Link 641+ router
XP machine - VPN to work works fine
98 machine - everything but VPN works - setup seems fine, but the call (same
appearance as a DUN call out) always times out. Any ideas? Woule be very
useful to have VPN access on both machines
