Firewall settings do not have much effect on VPN clients. VPN traffic
comes through the firewall encrypted and encapsulated. The firewall only
sees the "wrapper", not the contents of the packet. VPN clients look much
like LAN clients (as far as file access is concerned), not like Internet
clients.
