Well i got it working by assigning a Static Pool. Although i dont know why i had to. I guess my router is just crap

At home i get an ip from my linksys router just fine. Now i just have to figure out DNS. Since the router is not a DNS server i guess i need to turn it on at the server. Thanks for all the help!

Ok, if i setup a static pool for VPN and set my client to static, is there anything i need to do in the router/dhcp server? Other than maybe an exclusion to those ranges. Do i still use the router as the gateway?

I have read these pages but they do not help me. I know what 733 is, and i suspect i am having an IP address issue. As stated earlier, the DHCP server is the netgear router on the work server and a linksys server on the home server. I am trying to run DHCP but i have also tried putting in a static ip into the host connection. I'm really baffled by this one. on my home server, i just enabled it and it all worked fine. Is there anything i have to do to set a static ip other than set my client connection to static with the gateway as the router?

I have 2 win 2k3 servers, one at my house and one at work. For my how
machine, i just enabled RRAS and i can connect just fine. I run behind a
linksys router that is the DHCP server with no DNS server.
For my work server i enabled RRAS and i cannot seem to connect, even
locally! I keep getting 733 errors. I am running a netgear router with the
same setup as above. I tried to connect locally from the same lan to
eliminate the router but i get the same error. This works at home.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have gone through the settings window by
window and nothing is different. No extra software is installed on the
server and the fw is disabled. I have gone through the logs but i really
dont know what i am looking at. I shouldnt have to configure anything for
the basic VPN to work. I need some suggestions. Any hotfixes or anything
else i am missing? Both are running the latest service packs and update.
thanks.
