Whenever I restart the VPN, everything appears to be working properly
using PPTP. After RRAS has been running for about 5 minutes, I can no
longer connect to any of the computers on the remote network. This
includes the local area ip address of the RRAS server. At this point,
I can still disconnect and reconnect the VPN, but I cannot access
anything through the VPN.

I am also trying to get L2TP to work on this server. I am using a
packet sniffer and see that the computer is receiving packets on port
1701, but it is not sending back any packets in response.

Any errors in the event viewer? Or this search result may help.

VPN connection is disconnected after several minutesVPN connection is
disconnected after several minutes. We have been seeing more and more cases
like this one. We don't really know the causes, ...

There were no errors on the event viewer. The really strange thing
that is happening is that I am not disconnected and am still allowed
to make new connections. The problem is that after the RRAS server
has been up for 5 minutes, none of these connections can be used to
connect to anything.
