VPN to nt server disconnects

I was configuring a win98 box to VPN into a NT server over DSL. It
connects briefly (1 or 2 seconds) and then disconnects. I don't have
this problem with any w2k or xp boxes. I was curious so I booted my home
machine into Me and had the same problem.

Is there an issue with win9x and VPN using NT servers? Is there a
resolution?

Thanks for any input

Terry

It just states "you were disconnected". But I'm using the same settings
for w2k & xp with no problems.

I'm so sorry. I'VE SEEN THIS. And I just can't remember...
Though maybe an error code might remind me.

I'm going to be working on VPN with a 98 box, so I'll look around and
try to jog my memory. Seems like some 'time-out' setting got bumped
down to '2 seconds', or some such. Hmmmm...

Again, sorry. I'll keep it in mind.
