hi
Connectivity to Internet snaps when I log into My VPN client. This
happens when i am out of my office, usually from Hotels while I am on tour.
Here the IP address is provided by the hotel server - obtain IP address
automatically

It happens so that I first connect to internet ,then run my VPN client.
I can access the company Intranet but thats it. I cannot browse anyother
websites.
Is this issue related to the VPN client i am using.
Is it because my VPN server is configured to snap any other connection
once a VPN tunnel is created.

Are you using the Microsoft VPN client?

The default action is to set the default gateway to the connection, so
that all traffic goes over the VPN. You can change this by clearing the "use
default gateway.." check box in the client's TCP/IP connection settings.
See KB 254231 for more details.
