Hello, i get that error:
The following error occurred in the Point to Point Protocol module on port:
VPN5-127, UserName: ABC\ata. The remote computer does not support the
required data encryption type.
I've an ATA "analog telephone adaptor"
which connects to a windows VPN 2003server and i get that nice error.
i googled and i found that i MAY need to decrease the Encryption level from
128 to 40 , i'm not sure that this is the solution.
because i've another windows 2003 VPN box which had that error in the past,
but now working and i don't see some reason, i made identical configuration
but i get same error i don't know what to do ,,
any Help or redirection would be greatly apperciated

Thank you
A. Sabry

By default Server 2003 has MSCHAP v2 as the minimum authorization
protocol. If your client does not support that you will need to allow a
lower level such as CHAP or PAP which the client uses.
