vpn connectivity problem

Hello. I have an Exch2K3 Svr, DC, RRAS. External clients
vpn to the network. IP addresses are assigned through a
pool, not dhcp when connecting to the vpn. The connection
works initially but after a random amount of time, usually
several hours, the vpn connection looses it's
functionality. ping to name or number of exchange fails,
outlook is stuck. If the user disconnects and reconnects
then it all works again. outlook does not need to be
restarted. I have entries in hosts and lmhosts to point
to the server. Nothing in any log anywhere...

Any Ideas?
