I cannot create a broadband VPN connection. I have tried the fix below and it
doesn't work. I have uninstalled my CISCO VPN software and reinstalled my NIC
drivers and rebooted the machine. I have tried just about everything that
anyone has suggested. Is their a fix for this issue. I have several hundred
machines with the same image installed.

Thanks,
Kent Smith

Hotfix Q318138 Disables VPN's (12-07-2002)

There is a fix for this, give the group "users" write access to the
following registry key:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E 972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

You might try a general networking newsgroup for the version of Windows
you are running as this Newsgroup is only for the Microsoft Broadband
networking hardware & the software that comes with it.

If you are running Windows XP you might try
microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web or if you are running Windows
2000 or might try microsoft.public.win2000.networking but any way you
look at it this is off topic here.
