Error 800 doesn't really tell you much. It just mean that the connection
attempt failed. It usually means that the server is reachable but is not
configured correctly.
Have you configured the VPN server to accept PPTP connections? If so,
change the client settings to PPTP instead of automatic and see what message
you get.
