VPN client setup

I have SuSE 9.2 with OpenVPN installed. I would like to set up a client
connection to a Microsoft VPN. I have read several documents on the
internet about setting up VPN connections. All seem to be detailed
descriptions of all VPN options. In Windows, you go to control panel /
network connections. Add a new connection and choose "Connect to private
network". Is there any script that I can use to do the same from Linux? I
don't want to be hassled with the technical issues of VPN - I have an IP
address, a username and a password and I know that the server is a MS
Windows machine and I want to connect to it. Can anyone help?

Regards

VPN is far from an unique thing: there are at least
tens of mutually incompatible implementations around.
So are OpenVPN and the Microsoft thingy.

IMHO, the best solution is to install an OpenVPN
handler into the Microsoft computer. For details,
see <http://openvpn.sourceforge.net/>.

You need a vpn that's supported on both ends. There's an OpenVPN client
available for Windows and PPTP client for Linux. You can probably also
find something using IPSec.
