Given Mike's new slant on your post I would suspect that your broadband
provider may be blocking the ports you need open for remote access. You'll
need to ask them in order to get a definitive answer. Also, if they
provided a router or other network gear to you, that may also be configured
to block remote access ports. That should be easy enough to fix but the
other problem may be insoluble.
