VPN and Peer Not Responding

At home I use VPN to access corporate server using
Alcatel. If I directly connect to the cable modem I can
access it but if I use the MN - 700 Wireless Base Station
I get a Peer Not Reponding error reported by Alcatel
software. Logic indicates that the issue is with the
Wireless Base Station (which I connect to with cable or
wirelessly and get the same result). Not a big issue
since we are migrating to Nortel Networks Contivity which
isn't as twitchy as Alcatel.
