Dear News Group Members

VPN and Remote Web Access Not Working on a Small Bussiness
Server 2003 with 2 Nic Cards. IP address from DSL is
Dynamic. Local IP is 192.168.16.2 Network Interface IP
is 192.168.1.10 with the gateway as 192.168.1.1. I
reconfigure RAS Server but this has caused me not to
connect remotley. I have configured the Firewall and
allowed VPN and Remote Web Access on the Internet
Conection Wizard. Under IP Routing I have General, RIP,
NAT/Firewall, DHCP Realy Agent. I am using a Linksis
Wireless G Router with Ports 1723, and 43 for VPN and
Ports for Remote Web Access forwarded to 192.18.1.10. and
allowed PPTP,IPSEC, passthrough on the router

Questions:
I get a 721 error when I make a vpn connection both
internaly and externaly.
I can not connect to the Remote Web Access after I
disabled and enabled the VPN Services.

Please Help Me

It's simply not going to work with a dynamic IP.

Your client has no way to know what IP you are trying to connect to, nor do
you have any way to map the external IP to an internal IP for the VPN server.

You need to contact your ISP and get a static IP assignment.

assuming you can ping the router and the VPN client connecting to the VPN
server, then you got the error 721 while verifying the username and
password, if could be the router settings. We have saw many issues on
Linksys wireless router. Have you upgraded the firmware?

I had exactly the same error after replacing old Linksys router with new
BEFW11S4 v4 b-wireless router. I upgraded firmware from 1.45.x to
1.50.14 version and problem is gone, VPN works fine. Check Linksys
technical support web site for more information.
We are using DDNS for VPN without any problem.
Good luck.

I upgraded the firmware and it fixed it for one minuite
that I lost connection to my ISP because the
authintication server was down. Now the Internet
connection is not working. Waiting for tomoro to go to
static address to see if it can resolve the solutions.

Any other ideas?
