Wireless G 700 & 720 adapter running on a 2000 laptop.
Internet connectivity is fine until running my VPN for
work. As soon as the VPN logs in it kills my wireless
adapter and internet access is lost. In house PC Supoort
is of no help. When VPN is cancelled, access to internet
is restored. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

Your going to want to try this connection from your
laptop to the BS with a ethernet cable. If this works
then you may want to talk to your network administrator.
Alot of admins prevent wireless from connecting through
vpn connections as its a security risk.
Also some VPN's require port forwarding, use virtual DMZ
to prove that theory (dmz opens all ports to the
specified machine, only use temporarily until you find
the port needed to forward).

Thank you for responding. It is the same situation
wheteher it be through the adapter or the BS with ethernet
cable. So I believe the conflict is in the box.
I will try the DMZ and let you know nad share with all if
it works. Thanks again.

Thanks again the DMZ worked. The VPN allows me access to
the system. PCI card light are woking even though the
Network utility screen says that I am disconnected even
after refresh.
Is there a quick way to determine the port my VPN is
using? Under the properties of my VPN the SRC and DST
ports are '*' and protocol is '*' as well?

Thanks again for all your assistance

Talk to your IT department; They are not allowing "split-
tunneling" for security reasons. Most companies that
understand Internet security have a policy just like what
you encounter when you connect to the corporate site.
