Help ! (Please)

I am trying to set up an 'ADDON' ADSL Modem/Router.

It is asking for VPI (Virtual Path Identifier) and VCI (Virtual Channel
Identifier) values and states in the manual that they are provided by my
ISP.

To save what will be a very long and frustrating conversation with a
'technical' person at BT Openworld, is this value available on my machine
somewhere already, given that I am currently using an Alcatel speedtouch USB
modem to connect at the moment ?

Cheers anyone.
Jon.

Different modem etc, but BTYahoo runs on my setup as VPI=0 and VCI=38. HTH

They are provided by your ISP if you ask, but you do have to enter them
into the router setup page if they are not already in there, sorry if you
know this already, but its not very clear from your post. It could read as
you think they are sent by your ISP to the router.

Thanks for the replys.....

Just for the record I stumbled accross it by accident......

If you open the Alcatel system tray icon up while its online, the values can
be seen in one of the windows. It is 0 & 38.

Thanks for the responses though.....

As far as I know, the values are pretty much always 0 and 38
