Virus

To the people who have been mining this forum for email
addresses in order to send out viruses via spoofed email
accounts. I am so onto you. Thank you so much for proving
my software to be a success. People will soon be knocking
on your door and you made it all possible. Thank you for
helping to test my software.

I got fucken hit with spam from "Microsoft" after posting
on this newsgroup, what a shame I received about 10 emails
for a "Security Update" same stuff in the email just a
different name for the exe. I thought putting my email on
this would help...... shame

No one is mining the newsgroups for addresses, the VIRUS does that without any
assistance from those whose PCs are infected.

putting my email on the newsgroup... big mistake

I'm not "wrong". As I stated it is the virus that is mining the newsgroup for
addresses to which to send itself not an individual who is deliberately and
intentionally using those addresses (other than of course for the writer of
the virus).

If that's all you got, count yourself lucky. They seem to come and go in
batches, but I get a hundred at a time before my mailbox fills up and I have
to empty it. I'd guess I'm getting well over a thousand a day.

wow.... its amazing though i have a 25 meg inbox and i
check it a night and its at 7% usage then i check when i
get home from school and its at 78% usage... does anyone
know how to get rid of it? this is getting annoyin.. but
there is a way to stop SOME of it because the subject will
be "Newest Microsoft Patch" or some other bs subject....
just filter that subject out and trash em

Not true. Post an email address on this forum and within
5 minutes you will have 50 viruses sent to you.

Please read my message again. No individual is mining the newsgroup for
addresses, the VIRUS or WORM is doing it itself. A clue perhaps in the name -
Swen spelling NEWS backwards?
