Hello,

I would like to host several virtual hosts on a single
machine (using vserver, user-mode-linux etc) at home using
a dsl/cable modem with a single static ip.

This is meant for web development (multiple concurrent projects).
Also I may need for external developers to have remote access
using something like VNC.

It is similar to the setup in this article
(http://www.linuxjournal.com/article.php?sid=5652) but I want
to use virtual servers.

These servers are only for development only. I am not a linux
networking expert so I probably need professional help. I just
want to educate myself a little beforehand.

Is this possible with a single ip address?
Are there any resources on the Internet where this setup is detailed?

Thanks for any help.
NK

Certainly it's possible - read the apache docs for "virtualhost" and
"namevirtualserver". Google is a great place to start too.

With a single IP, you would have to map into non-standard ports.

He is asking for virtual servers, not virtual domains. Yes, google is
a grear place to start.
