"Broadband provider Virgin.net came top, with 85% of its customers
expressing satisfaction.

The survey placed Telewest second with 83% and Tiscali third with 80%.
"

>From http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6145738.stm. The article also

slates the likes of CPW and Orange for their free broadband.

If you average Virgin, BY and NTL they don't come top, do they?
After all they are now the same company so you should take the weighted
average.

That puts Tiscali at the top. ;-)

when the Evening Standard wrote a piece on the same report yesterday,
headed "Millions unhappy at Broadband service", it said "The survey
singled out Tiscali and Carphone Warehouse's Talk Talk for criticism".

I wonder who to believe ? As it was commissioned by the commission
driven "you switch we profit" service tha tI won't mention by name I
guess the answer is not to beleive any of it.

Does that mean that anything handled by YouGov.co.uk is to be considered
as perhaps 'tainted' by whichever organisation commissions the research?

I am surprised that some of the smaller, but better, ISPs do not have
greater customer satisfaction. What, for example, are the customer
satisfaction figures for AAISP and Zen?

I was wondering the same of the same pair of ISP's - bet they would get
95% satisfaction each and come joint top!
