Today is the date given for my telephone calls to be swapped from BT to
Virgin with thier bundle one option. Now I cannot make a call without
dialing 1280 to use the BT service, just get a recording saying 'the service
requested is not available from this line'
Will it just be delayed whilst BT are sorting things out or should it have
been changed in the one go? Also if it doesn't start to work who is
responsible, BT or Virgin?
TIA - Mike

Do you mean that if you prefix with 1280 you can make a succesful call, or
that fails as well? If this is the case (ie with 1280 it is succesful),
IMHO I would say that Virgin should be responsible for getting the problems
resolved, as they are your comms supplier for the calls. BT are likely to
refer you back to them for that part anyway.

Thanks for that - I'll try to get through to Virgin without paying the 25 p
per minute - They did say about 10 days for the telephone service from the
time activated for adsl - That was 24 days ago

There's a 0845 number for billing and everything else seems to be classed as
a technical problem with a 1906 number.

And that just goes to show that all that glisters isn't golden.
