Crikey...It's Sunday morning and I'm getting over 3.5Mbps on my 'up to
8Mbps' ADSL !

Normall at weekends I struggle to get more than 200Kbps at a weekend..

Either:

1. I'm dreaming...and I'll wake up in a minute and it'll be rubbish
again...as usual..

2. Half the country has a power cut and are not online.

3. Virgin...have possibly started to do something about their service..
( or is that one covered under dreaming ? - see above )

4. Traffic Management is offline due to maintenence..

Ho hum...let's see how long it lasts eh ! Let's get off to 'You Tube'
quick and see if it's still there...

Jim.

3430Kbps..that's also my preffered checker of choice so as to speak...

That said I regularly get over 6000Kbps on a weekday morning without
exception..

So this is only about half what my line can provide, but it's shed
loads better than I've been getting since I can;t remember when.

Watching episodes of the second series of 'I'm Alan Partridge' on 'You
Tube' just now, probably the best series.

Jim.

Illustrates very well that Virgin doesn't have enough internet connectivity.

I'm sure that they know this as well, but they're in a difficult
situation regards being able to do anything about it.

Still they sooem to have done something of late.

http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/ 4051 now - wow !

I'm not sure that they'll get taken over now, it would have happened
by now if it was a goer I would have thought.

I'm sure that I read somewhere that the offer was a little on the low
side.

Jim.

They're all at Aldi buying the weekly special offers, it will be back to
"slow" later on.

It may not actually.

I get 9M from BBmax and 11M from Virgin.
I am on Sky BTW and get more than those from other speed tests so neither
appears to be very good.
