Thanks to everyone that's replied. Yes, I have tried the master
socket (the one behind the faceplate). Re. the 10 days: I also
thought this was flannel!
I called customer services who assured me that if the technical
support guy said 10 days, then he is more than qualified to say that
and they all have vast experience.
But as you say, if it's no synchronised, then you can guess what the
maximum speed is going to be after 10 days!
