My service in S London seems to disconnect for no reason, the reappears
again. I am sick to the back teeth of them, I only hope that whoever takes
them over will do a better job or I am leaving.

Yep same thing happens in Cambridge. It eventually comes back, but
what a pain in the arse. In some respects with this kind of service
aial up would be faster!

Have you raised your issues with technical support in the local
virginmedia.support.broadband.cable newsgroup?

Without being aware of what diagnostics you've been through it's
slightly difficult to comment further, but if you want to e-mail me as
much detail as you can (including account details) I'm happy to ask
someone to look into it for you.

No I have not, but while the service was down I rang your status line said
there were no problems in my area. Tech support line at 25p per minute
eventually said it was a problem at the Virgin end. So why can't you go back
to the 0845 option for broadband support & £1.50 per minute for non Internet
computer help? This would make it fairer for us, the people who do only ask
questions related to broadband when ringing your tech lines.
