Virgin Media speed still only 10Mbps, do I need modem upgrade?

Virgin Media's site says that my area has now been upgraded to 20Mbps and my
upload speed does seem to have increased to near the 768Kbps it's supposed
to be increasing to, but my download limit is still only about 10Mbps.

I've tried using this link on the Virgin Media site:

http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...t_service.html

to see if my modem needs upgrading and it says that it doesn't (my modem
looks like an Ambit 200 ntl branded shown at the top of the list), so I
don't understand why my download speed is still only 10Mbps. Could the
modem still need an upgrade?

Thanks.

Try switching your modem off and back on, and see what you get?

What does your modem status page say?

Just this:

Great news!
You actually don't need a modem upgrade.
We've looked at your current modem specification and it'll deliver the new
speed perfectly.
Don't forget!
Keep an eye on the rollout schedule to find out when 20Mb broadband will be
coming to your area.
