Virgin Media cable - more than 1 PC

Is it possible to connect more than 1 laptop to the net at the same
time via a Virgin Media cable modem? As I understand it - from
previous advice here - the little cable modem box thingy only coughs
up 1 IP address. Would a wireless router do the trick? All I've got
is a WAP. Thanks.

Yes, buy a wireless router, connect the cat 5 cable from the cable modem
into the input of the router.

Yes, you just need a router. Wireless or wired, entirely up to you.
