You don't need the encryption key to access the router's configuration pages
if you access the router by (1) a pc connected to it via ethernet cable or
(2) a pc connected to the router via wireless with an already-setup
profile. But you do need to remember the router's admin password.
If you're lucky, the router's configuration page will show you the key "in
clear." If you're not -- and it's shown as all asterisks -- you'll just
have to create a new one and then reset the key in all of the wireless
clients that connect via the router.
If you have forgotten everything, including the admin p/w, read the router
manual and find out how to set it back to factory defaults, and then start
over with your security setup.
