Video Senders and WiFi

Anyone had and resolved problems with Video senders and WiFi used
close together.

I've got a Digisender video unit, has worked fine unless WiFi on at
the same time; I then get interference, audio and video.

I've tried different WiFi channels and different Video sender unit
channels to no avail and have lived with turning the WiFi off when I
want to watch TV.

Now my problem is my neighbour has a WiFi and I am thinking my video
sender could become useless.

Any tips appreciated.

Geoff have you tried turning the digisender on its side. I'm sure I read
reports of that working before.

My wireless router and video sender are both by the TV in the lounge,
less than three feet apart. I get a bit of disturbance on the TV
upstairs when I use the wireless laptop in the bedroom but only when
the adapter is scanning channels to find the network and connect. Once
the connection is made the problem vanishes. My network is on channel
11.

I have tried using channel 5 in the past to avoid clashes with other
networks nearby, also on channel 11, but that gives me interference on
the sender/receiver on all of its channels A/B/C/D. So I'm guessing
the video sender operates nearer the bottom end of the wi-fi frequency
range so the higher the network channel number you use the better for
your televisual experience. If your neighbour chooses a low channel
number then you may be fooked, unless you can persuade him to change
channel.

Tchibo. It looks identical to the senders that Aldi were doing a few
weeks ago for £20 (I think).

Hmm, my Digisenders cost around 80ukp about 18 months ago for one
transmitter and one receiver.

Are your's on the TV or beside it anywhere; I've tried various
positions but as yet to no avail.

My sender is on top of the TV downstairs. My receiver is on top of a
chest of drawers right next to the TV upstairs, on the front left hand
corner of the TV as I face it. That gives me the shortest distance
between the sender and receiver with just the floor/ceiling
obstructing the signal path from the lounge below to the bedroom
above.

The distance between the units is probably about fifteen feet but I
have got reasonable reception in the back garden with perhaps an
eighty foot gap through an internal wall and patio glass doors.
