The Vi$ta was connected to a Linux server via a cross-over cable. The
Linux server connects to internet via pppoe.

How could I make the Vi$ta PC to access internet?

Enable IP and port forwarding on the server, either directly
via /iptables/ on the commandline or through any of its frontends,
e.g. /shorewall/ or perhaps even via Webmin or some GUI tool.

The next thing then is to tell the Vista machine to use the GNU/Linux
machine as a gateway. Unfortunately I don't do Windows so I can't tell
you how that is accomplished there.

I wonder whether Micro$oft was planning to certify the routers out there
in order for them to work with Window$, like those WDM hardware
drivers... horrible....
