I've bought a 3COM 802.11b router and configured for my home broadband
sharing. However, the speed is very slow (poor, over 1 minute is needed to
load www.google.com) ! My home broadband is ethernet type (needless to login
liked PPPoe). Does anyone can give me some advice and glues?

Try DSL Reports and check the 3COM 802.11b router forum to see if others
have had similar problems. Is the router supported by your ISP? Possibly
your ISP has posted the correct "settings" for that router to get maximum
speed.

I am not familiar with this router, but in general terms the problem you
describe is not unlike a routing one.
Start by checking your default gateway setting on the NIC.
