Go to the setup screen of your router/AP where you set the encryption.
If you see WEP but not WPA then you don't have WPA. Go to your
router/AP's support page and find the firmware upgrade, if one is
available, that supports WPA.
Also, you need WPA driver support for you client card and a windows XP
patch. If you don't have the latest 54G card then you probably can't
use WPA anyway. As far as I know, only Linksys have WPA driver for the
latest version (version 3 only; older hardware versions need not apply)
of their 802.11b card.
I think there's a industry conspiracy at work here: they created WPA in
order to sell the new 54G gear by not supporting the older B hardware :-).
