The V21 website now sports Biscit T&C's in place of the
previous V21 terms. Under 6 Term and Termination
it includes something about a £70 termination fee and £35
for a migration code. Was Previously £30.

I believe the old terms used to include a clause allowing
them to amend the terms with either 7 or 14 days
notice by posting the amended terms on their website.

If you are a V21 customer now may be a good time to
leave. I assume you will still have a limited time to reject
the new terms and get out of your contract for free.

I had seen posts in the past about the 30 quid fee, and giving that as one
reason not to consider V.21 but these other fees are definitely bad news
for any existing customers.

Thanks for highlighting the info. Hope it filters through fast enough
for existing users to leave pronto! With luck the V21/Biscit change
will make those existing users alert to T+C changes and they may be
able to spot it even if they don't look at news websites or Usenet
but it might also be worth a mention to some consumer shows like
the BBC's Watchdog - partly to alert V21 users, partly to get it
known more widely, so if some other takeovers happen, whether by
Biscit or anyone else, users will look closely at changes and not
be grabbed by the short and curlies (ouch!) from behind !!
