Hi,
I currently have a network utilizing frame relay to reach
my business office. All computers on this network are
assigned static addresses and go through a cisci 1600
series router to communicate. I am in the process of
setting up a cable modem and router with a persistant
address and want to use both netorks at the same time, one
for the business side and one to allow access to the
internet . My problem is in the gateways. How do I set
it up so that I can use multiple gateways for the
different networks and be able to access both at the same
time?

Windows will only use one default gateway, even if each network
defines its own default gateway. Since your business network
undoubtedly has fewer subnets than the entire Internet:

1. Define a default gateway on the cable modem router.

2. Remove any default gateway definition on the Cisco router.

3. If the business network has multiple subnets, define static routes
to them that point to the Cisco router.

Be careful: connecting a computer to both the Internet and a business
network can be a security risk, since the Internet connection is
outside of any firewall on the business network.

In a word: DON'T! You already have a network that was set up by
somebody in your corporate IT departement. Work with those guys to get
what you need. If you don't, they'll find out sooner or later anyway,
possibly after your homebrew addition causes major damage to the rest of
the company.
