Hello I have read on several web sites that this router can take speeds up
to 27000 kb/s but I get only 14000 kb/s all the time, Its looks like my
router works on halve speed. Im using USR8045 router and the Usr5410 cardbus
card.My router stand in de same room as the laptop and signal an link
quality ar both 100%

I even have never been able to reach that 14.000 kbps!

I have the same equipment. I've installed the lastest USR5410 drivers.
I've had to transfer several large files (1+ GB) and when I'm in the
same room, I got transfer rates of 2700 to 3200 kbytes/s. When I took
my laptop downstairs, my speed depended on how I oriented my
laptop/wireless card. When pointed in the general direction of the
router, the speeds were the same as when in the same room as the router.
Howver, it dropped to 1700 kbytes/s the sofa arm was between the router
and the wireless card.

You must get between 34000 Mbp/s and 20.000 Mbp/s. This are Mega bits, thus
not bytes. You can get 34000 Mbps, on a distance of one meter from your
usr8054 router. 34,000.000 / 8 = 4.250.000 bytes ps / 1MB = 4,05 So, 4,05
Mega Bytes per second must be possible in the best circumstances.

I, only get 14.000 kilo bits per second. Thats about 1.7 Mega bytes per
second Thus my router works on halve speed. When I copy a file of 100 MB
it takes 1 minute

To be precis: 1.7 MByte ps = 1,782,579,2 Mega bytes x 8 = 14.260.633,6
bits per second = 14 Mbps (14 Mega bits)
Greetings
