USR5410 Laptop Problem

I'm having a problem with USR5410 (11G Wireless card) and my Laptop (Toshiba
Satellite 1800). Initial install works fine. Speed is good hitting 100Mbs.
The problem begins once you power down. The laptop refuses to power up with
the card plugged in. If you do power up without it, it freezes the moment
you insert it. The only way to get it running again is to power up without
the card, reinstall the USR drivers and then plug in the card and wait for
windows to recognize it. Of course you have to reconfigure and set it up
from the beginning. It is getting really annoying and it seems there is no
help in site.
I've tried letting Windows XP drive and use its Wireless Zero Configuration.
I've also tried shutting it down and using USR's drivers. No luck either
way.
Any advice would be appreciated.
