USR2249 Corrupted Password

Hi

I've managed to corrupt the Username and/or Password in my USR2249 by
inadvertently calling the password.cgi web page from the history in my browser.
Now I cannot access the AP via the web page facility and can only view the
settings using the USR AP Configuration application - I cannot change anything.
The AP is still operating correctly with its last settings.

I've tried following the reset to factory defaults process from the manual (hold
reset, power off, power on holding reset for 5 seconds) and it doesn't make any
difference. I've tried blank username and password, old username & password and
combinations of both but no luck.

I'm accessing the AP via ethernet, using "usr_ap_50g_nml.bin" firmware in the AP
and the "USR04_1,0a_upg" configuration program.

Can anyone help?

Regards - Andy

Are you able to reflash the firmware? That would flush the previous
password.

No, it asks for the username & password first :-(

Hi. I received below in a prompt response from USR and it solved the problem by
resetting the AP to factory settings.

"hold reset for 7 secs, power off (and still hold reset), power on still holding
reset for another 7 seconds. Finally, release the reset button, power off, wait
20 secs, and power on again."

USR 2249 users may wish to retain this info.

Cheers - Andy
