I bought a US Robotics USR2216 22 Mbps Wireless PCI Adapter on EBay. When I
installed it on a rather elderly PII 350MHz PC it caused the blue screen of
death to appear - error message "memory parity error". My RAM is fine.

I've tried it in a different PCI slot and have used the newest drivers from
the manufacturers' website but the same thing happens & Windows will not run
at all if it is installed.

Is this likely to be due to a hardware conflict, dodgy drivers or is the
card a dud?

Thanks a lot.

I'm going to reply to my own posting cos I solved it! There was a conflict
with my sound card (Yamaha) and ethernet card. Disabling them in Device
Manager solved the problem. Hope this helps someone else.

nope, the requirements are for a 100MHz processor. It works fine with a
different sound card installed.
