Thanks for all the replies..

Just to clarify - the wireless network is in infrastructure mode...th
uSoft workgroup is ad-hoc (ie it doesn't have a WINS server because
cannot afford Win 2k Server - and don't really need it either

I changed the WRT54G from IP 192.168.2.254 to 192.168.2.1 and thing
seem to have got better. Without hunting out my TCP/IP books, I thoug
254 was the last valid IP address in range, is that true or is i
reserved like 255 for something else

I *do* know how to limit the Axis camera bandwidths, so if it al
blows up again I will try that
