Using wireless routers as access points only. How?

Stupid semi-newbie qustion time. My house is wired with eight ethernet
runs throughout. I have a cable modem connected to a 8-port Netgear
RO318. I have a D-Link DWL-900AP+ connected in my livingroom which works
just fine, thank you. Because the 900AP+ didn't reach the whole house I
installed a D-Link DI-614+ (a wireless router) and after disabling DHCP
was able to get it to work as another AP. Other than disabling DHCP I
don't know how I got it to work.

We refinished the basement and I set up a study for the kids and
installed wireless PCI cards in their systems. The signal was weak from
the other AP's so I purchased a D-Link DI-514 (also a wireless router.
Hey, it was on sale for $30 with rebates) and disabled the DHCP (I also
made sure the I.P. addresses and SSID didn't conflict with either the
Netgrear or the other D-Link. I plug in the 514 and get a good signal
but cannot pull up any web pages.

I then started fooling around with the 614+ and now can't get it to work
off of the Netgear. If I plug the cable modem into the 614+ it works
fine.

Is there anyway to configure the 514 and the 614 to work off of the
Netgear as Access Points only?

Outside of disabling DHCP, you also need to give the DI614+/DI514 (different)
static IP addresses on your LAN. Also, look at the advanced/performance tab and
make sure you are compatible with whatever pci cards you are using. The routers
should be on different channels but use the same SSID.
