Is it possible to configure a Windows XP WiFi laptop to automatically
connect to multiple sites and to use LAN resources like printers at each
site. The sites are different as follows:

- Different workgroup names at each site

- One site has static IP addresses and another has IP addresses assigned by
the router

What is the best solution for configuring a laptop for these somewhat unique
WLANs?

Best,
Christopher

Take a look at NetSwitcher. It will configure multiple profiles for
ethernet, wireless I believe also. www.netswitcher.com Free to download
and test. Something like $15 to buy.

Definitely use profiles......

As for the Wireless networks, XP allows you the ability to set a given
number of SSID (service Set ID) strings in the Network adapter, and
will
automatically switch to the given wireless network as it becomes
available...

Profiles are another matter.
look at this link to familiarize yourself with the acumen needed to
configure your XP machines profiles.
