Using A Vigor 2600 as a router NOT using the ADSL modem

I've got a 2600 ADSL Router that i'd like to use with a cable service (Like
NTL/Blueyonder, but actually it Homechoice new service). I.e. the primary
WAN interface needs to be ethernet - like the 2900 model. Has anyone ever
tried this?
