Does anyone know of a product that will allow you to connect your PC
audio to a stereo (without plugging in an external accessory to the
PC) via 802.11? I know there are "media converters" available to
connect wirelessly to stereos and PC's, but the ones I have seen only
transmit a narrow range of media formats. I am looking to use my
stereo as the speaker system for my wireless laptop, if not for all
sound, then at least for a broader range of formats (i.e. streaming
RealAudio or something like that instead of only mp3 and windows media
formats).

Thanks...

http://www.ebay.com/

search for
FM transmitter usb

You plug the power cable into the USB connector, and the line-out into
the transmitter, and it transmits FM to your stereo.

You can get low powered transmitters, that plug into the headphone or
speaker jack on your computer and transmit to a nearby FM receiver. Last I
heard, they'd work with any format.
