I have a Win 2003 server set up in a simple workgroup , It
is basically used for File sharing ...

I assigned it an ip of 192.168.151.x as a primary address
and 192.168.0.x as a second address

Now the problem occurs when you try to access shared
resources on the second ip address range , eg

net use * \\192.168.0.8\fileshare

System error 67 occured

But if I try accessing a file resource on the primiary
address interface it has no problems ..

I think NetBEUI may resolve this issue but is it available
for Windows 2003 Server

Regards
AC

Hi,

The reason this does not work is Netbios over TCPIP will only bind to the
first bound address on the NIC. This is by design.

Netbeui is not a supported protocol on Windows 2003, and I can't find any
details about installing it from the CD.

Support for Netbeui was also discontinued in Windows XP, however it was on
the CD.

Your second IP# is also in the wrong subnet and won't work if the machine
trying to access it is in the original subnet unless there is a router in
between the route it.
