Using Samsung D900 as GPRS DUN modem on USB Cable?

Is this possible?
I want to connect to the internet using my D900 mobile phone via USB cable
to a laptop to access the internet whilst away from home for a couple of
weeks.
Can it be done?
Tried creating a connection with Samsung PC Studio 3, but it fails to
connect (using Windows XP)
The mobile network is Orange.

Toby

do you have the D900 available as a modem in Windows (control panel /
phones and modems) ? That's the first step, so you can select it when
you make the connectoid in DUN.

I've found some of the phone software initiated GPRS connections to be
a bit random at times. I usually add the modem then just set up a
dial-up connection.

Yes it is possible, as long as have an Orange branded D900 (not a
generic) and can access Orange World on the phone and are using the
cable that came with the D900 and not a happy shopper cable from eBay
then there's no reason it won't work.

Call 156 if you're having issues.

Whether or not the phone is Orange branded is totally irrelevant.

As long as the phone is working with an Orange SIM and the account
associated with that SIM is enabled for GPRS services, and you have set up
the appropriate network settings within the phone, then the phone will work
on Orange World with a Samsung D900 and the USB data cable supplied with the
phone.
