Hello,

Is there a way to use linux to generate IPv6 PDUs with 1 or more
Extension Headers? I am a hardware designer looking to test an ASIC
design I am developing. The chip needs to parse ethernet frames which
carry IPv6 PDUs in order to find the Layer 3 Protocol Type field. This
means I must be able to parse multiple nested IPv6 Extension Headers in
order to find the final "Next Header" value which holds the L3 Protocol
Type (UDP or TCP for example).

I'm looking for pointers on how to use linux to generate IPv6 frames
with extension headers. I need to be able to control how many extension
headers are nested. I am competent with redhat linux but I am by no
means a kernel hacker. If you point me in the right direction I would
greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.
