Using Linux with T-Mobile's hotspots

Hi folks,

I use Linux on my laptop, but with a Borders and Starbucks in town
with Wi-fi access, I'd like to take advantage of the broadband when in
the area. I don't mind paying the $29.99 a month for access.

Anyway, the website says all you need is the DLink Wireless LAN PC
Card 11MBPS (DWL650) or Netgear 11Mbs - 802.11b Wireless PC Card. Do
either of these work in Linux? And if not, is it possible to run
VMWare, install Windows on LInux with the wireless network card, and
then a proxy for Linux to connect to?

If you are referring to the Netgear MA401RA card, yes it does work. Check
linux-laptop.net or tuxmobil.org for info and links.

The box said Windows 98 or better, so I installed SuSE Linux.
